Creative Critical Reflections for My Music Video
Name: Angel Noriega-Rodriguez ___ _______________ Creative Critical Reflection How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? My product uses the conventions for a pop music video by having a short love story, props and actors that are well dressed, and has a color grading that fits the mood of the song. Although it does follow these conventions it does not have a segment where the characters are singing the song that strays apart from the story. Throughout the whole video a story is told and that’s all there was happening. The characters aren’t portrayed in a sexual manner to the audience which is also common among pop videos. There are no major scenes w here the characters are out dancing at a club or partying, but instead they are shown slow dancing to the song in the final scene.
