Problem and Solutions for Editing

 Hey guys, as I mentioned in the last blog I'll be talking about my plan for editing. As you know I haven't finished filming the entire opening sequence yet but as I can't do much filming until the weekend I have decided to start editing. The first plan for editing is to borrow a friends computer and begin editing on there. This is the more than likely plan as I have friends who are also doing the final task who would be willing to help me out. The second plan is really a last minute option in case none of my friends can let me borrow their computer. It requires me to download the software on the school laptop that was given to me. I talked with my teachers and they advised me to use the editing software online or one that may already be on the school laptop. The only reason I haven't is because this computer can't handle them. Both online editing sites and the one on the computer don't have what I need in order to edit the film correctly. They both either lack the ability to edit sound or don't have the filters and titles I need. I plan on editing the film alone since this is a solo group but I do plan on having multiple people see it to help me revise. The editing is probably the easiest part and I plan on taking less than a day to really complete it. I want to first begin with the putting together the film and making sure its coherent. If any problems arise in the scenes I'll write them down to be reshot on my second day of shooting. After putting together the story (whether or not it's the final cut) I want to add the titles. This is my plan for editing so far, which to me is the most achievable because I don't have any crazy effects to add. Hopefully the next time your reading my blog it'll be because I began editing and confirmed my second filming date.

 Hey guys, so for this blog I'll be talking about the week before our second day of filming on the 23rd. After filming on the first day we filled in Anya on everything that happened the first day and decided that we would film again on the 23rd. Leading up to that date Daniellla had helped me get access to Adobe Premeire Pro so I can begin editing. She also uploaded all the videos we filmed on to google drive so we can have easy access to it. We took some videos and photos on Ben's phone and had those sent so we can get the different angles and bloopers. We decided the next steps were to figure out our location and plan for the second day of filming. Short Film Research: Tangles and Knots

  A sticky, intimate bond between mother and daughter becomes threatened when the mother helps her teenage daughter throw a party to impress new, popular friends. Sound: In the dialogue, there is no difference in how the mother and daughter speak to each other, speaking more like friends than mother and daughter. However, when the party starts, the mom begins interjecting herself into the daughter's conversations, teaching her how to take a jello shot and encouraging her to come into the pool. The added sound contributes to the setting, with dance music that helps bring the idea of it being a party altogether. This is made apparent when there is no dialogue and the daughter is just dancing, where all that can be heard is the music she's dancing to. Planning for the next shoot

 Hey guys, so not much has changed since the last blog. My friend still has COVID and I don't see a time that we'll be able to film the final scenes yet. Fortunately he has gotten better but as far as safety is concerned I don't see a possibility for filming. My new plan for now is to begin editing. Since I filmed the scenes in chronological order I can begin preparing the first cut of the film. This will allow me to see if there are any scenes which may need to be reshot or if I'm missing any scenes that need to be filmed. At first my editing plan was to use Adobe Premiere Pro as I have for my previous projects, but the computer I was using can't handle the program and started malfunctioning. Right now the deadline is nearing and I've been stopped in my tracks due to my friend getting infected. I plan on doing one of two things in order to go around these problems of mine.
