My Music Video

Hey guys, so this is my final blog before the CCR, and we're going to review everything that's happened so far. I'm aware I didn't do the best last blog and I want to apologize for that, so for this one I'll try my best to stick to the plan. From the beginning of this project, it was a little difficult figuring out the song but as soon as I did I knew what to do. Planning for the blog was easier than picking the song, after establishing my main idea to be a couple going through problems, rather than enjoying a happy relationship it made it easier to film and know what I would need to film. The storyboard was definitely harder than the rest. I believe it was because of my lack in the ability to draw, but I think that the idea got through in the storyboard. After that it came down to filming and editing. Filming didn't take as long but the timing was the worse and I definitely should've filmed earlier. While filming didn't go the best, it wasn't the worse which made the editing easier. While filming was pretty easy it was difficult not being the one behind the camera to make sure the shots didn't move because I didn't have a tripod. Editing for the video was slightly harder, but after fixing the little problems it went smoothly. Alright now that all the important information is talked about, I want to talk about my experiences with the video. Overall, it was a fun and learning experience. Like all the other projects practicing planning, filming, and editing all improved throughout the project. Working with my sister and her boyfriend made it fun, although it was hard filming with them because of the time and them not wanting to entirely be there, I enjoyed the challenge. It was fun filming the project in a short amount of time. Like I said in the previous sentence it was a fun challenge trying to get all the shots I needed in the short time. I feel like if I'm able to do that in a rush then my next project won't be as hard when I film on time. Well, that's pretty much all there is to it so enjoy my video!

Title Research: Art of the Title Website

 Hey guys so for this blog I'll be telling you about, Art of the Title, a website that focuses on showing opening title sequences for shows and movies. The website introduced me to a lot of movies I didn't know were out there, a lot of them were documentaries. While reading on them and watching their opening sequence I realized that a lot of them represented the theme of the documentary in one way or the other. Some documentaries did not, but instead tried to use the opening sequence as a way to guide the audience and set the tone for what they might see throughout the documentary. For the movies the opening sequence always fit the genre of the film, but also worked a lot with the sound. For many of the films they all had a sort of non-diegetic sound attached to it in order to create a kind of effect that matched the genre. The In Between

 Hey guys, so for this blog I'll be talking about the week before our second day of filming on the 23rd. After filming on the first day we filled in Anya on everything that happened the first day and decided that we would film again on the 23rd. Leading up to that date Daniellla had helped me get access to Adobe Premeire Pro so I can begin editing. She also uploaded all the videos we filmed on to google drive so we can have easy access to it. We took some videos and photos on Ben's phone and had those sent so we can get the different angles and bloopers. We decided the next steps were to figure out our location and plan for the second day of filming. Originally we thought it would be best to film the first two minutes of the film and get those out of the way. We also wanted to make sure that Anya was well enough to help us film so she we can get her scenes done. We weren't able to use Anya's house to film so we agreed on Danni's house.
