First day of Filming

Hey guys, so for this blog I'll be telling you about my first day of filming. There is a lot that happened but I won't be getting into all of it. For now lets start from the beginning. We started early at 11 A.M. , I began dressing in my suit and realized that wearing the blazer wasn't the best idea. We decided to take it off and prepared the house for the scenes. We took down pictures so we can have blanks walls for the beginning scene, and by that time it was 12 P.M. when my friend who played David arrived. At that time we began to film the beginning scenes. We decided to go chronologically according to the storyboard because the sun was too bright and it would make us sweat which we didn't need for those scenes. We used my camera to film and the shots came out good. I did have to train my friend who didn't have much experience behind a camera. He learned enough to film the shots needed and we finished the scenes where my character, The Man, was indoors. While filming the indoor scenes we tried using the phones camera. It worked better than expected and we decided that on the next filming day we would try certain scenes again with them. We filmed the rest of the indoor scenes with David and Leo. We ran into no accidents while cooking and go it done rather fast. We did end up switching the angle of a shot because we didn't have the necessary space for a point-of-view angle. After filming the kitchen scene we moved to the table scene. I had them review their lines for about 20 minutes until they got it memorized. We added and removed certain words so that the dialogue fit their personalities. Fortunately for me when creating my characters I already had the actors in mind so the new dialogue fit the characters. We recorded the same scene at different angles four times, of the four times I recorded the audio on a voice recording on my phone twice. The rest of the shots were outside and rather easy. We breezed through them, we got every shot but the disappearing shot of The Man behind the car. That about covers the first day. See you when I talk about the second day of filming. Attached is a picture of the few shots I was able to take, I was unable to download an actual video on to my phone and transfer it to the computer.
