Editing Blog
Hey guys, so this'll be the last blog before the big reveal of the project. Alright so basically, this part of the project was rather easy, at least for me. I was using Adobe Premier Pro which is a software I'm familiar with so it went pretty smooth. At first I wanted to change the whole story of the film by making it flip back and forth but then realized it might be annoying. Plus, the shots I had filmed weren't going to work with that. I did learn something from the last project I did and made sure that all my shots were organized, which like before made everything easier and faster. After putting all the shots into the timeline I looked through it all to make sure the story played out correctly. A little but of cutting, moving, and patience with the slow computer the story was showed. Next was reviewing the film, I realized that there will be a sudden switch from two shots to one and I ended up keeping it. You'll understand when you watch it. I didn't really run into many problems with editing but, I did keep some things I wanted out such as the voice over. After finding my music and realizing how well it went with the film I thought that adding a voice over might take away the effect that comes from silence. I decided to watch a Nike commercial I studied at first but with no volume. I realized the same thing, the effect I got from the silence than with the voice over attracted me more to the screen and it made me pay more attention to what's really going on. After adding everything and watching it at least 7 times to make sure I didn't miss anything, I added a shade of a dark blue to fix the lighting. This had to purposes: to make sure it wasn't obvious that the shots were filmed at different times, and to make it a little easier on the eyes as well as attract the eyes. I rendered and exported and that was it for editing. The next blog will be the final product I really hope you enjoy it. See you then.
-Sincerely, Angel
