Getting Everything Ready
Hey guys for this blog I'll be focusing on the editing process for this film. To begin with I want to tell you a little of everything before we started editing the film and some problems that came with it. So originally all of our footage on the first day was filmed on Ben's iPhone. We decided this was the best option because he had the best phone and we didnt have our cameras with us on that day. Danniella decided it would be best to put all the footage into a cloud. It worked out in our benefit because everyone could access it and organize it for editing. On our second day of filming we had access to a camera so we put all of our footage onto an SD card that I supplied. When we finished that day we gave the SD card to Daniellla. She can put it into the drive so we can use it from there. On the third day of filming we also filmed with a camera and put the footage on an SD card. The same process was repeated. All the footage was put into the drive for easy access. Everything up to here was pretty easy. The only main problem rose when trying to extract the footage from the drive. The drive we were using required that we download each video individually instead of just pulling from the actual cloud. After a little bit of research I had to download a shortcut of the drive on to my computer. This allowed me to access it from the editing software. We decided to use Adobe Premeire Pro because I was already very familiar with the software and so was Danniella. Not being able to pay the subscription for the software Danniella created an account to get a free week with the software. That's all for this blog, I'll see you in the next one where I talk about the first day of editing the film.
