Planning for the Final Task: Title Design

Hey guys, for this blog I'll be showing you my title design for my opening sequence. My genre for this opening sequence is thriller, and for that reason I want to give the titles a color that draws attention and brings suspense. In order to do that I believed that the best font would be Franklin Gothic Heavy. It looks like THIS. The reason behind choosing this font although it is pretty similar to many is because it offers a strong look. I plan on using white colored font and presenting the titles in a dark lower third of the screen. I plan on using a fade in effect to show the title and a fade out effect to make it disappear. The titles will all be in capital letters as well as the name. I don't plan on changing the font size of the titles or names, but they may look bigger on screen than they do here. To clarify, I  don't want the black box behind the actual words and it's only there to represent the white. I want my title to represent my opening sequence. By using something basic, but strong enough to catch the audiences attention is my main goal with the titles. When deciding this font I took into consideration that my opening sequence may not have all the perfect spots for my titles and that I would need to change the font color to black. If that is the case I decided to change my font as well to match the color. The second font is Verdana Pro Black and looks kind of like THIS. There is a proper picture to both of these fonts down below. Depending on the scenes and whether or not the words blend in I might change the spacing of the letters. It may look more like T H I S and T H I S.I plan on showing the titles for 3 seconds and for the fade in/out effect to last less than a second. I believe that these will best represent my opening sequence and work to attract the audiences eyes. The following are pictures of what the titles will look like on screen.
