Second day of shooting,,, again




 Hey guys, so for this blog I'll be focusing on the second day of shooting and what happened when Anya got there. So as I said in the last blog, as we finished shooting the first scene successfully Anya had made it to the house. From there we came up with a plan on the next following shots. We wanted to go chronologically so we began shooting Jackie storming out of the house. Because it was dark and we had no lights we used our phones flashlights and shined in two different spots. One facing directly at Jackie the other getting the side of the face. We did this so the camera can pick up Danniella's face. Like the scene before we got two different angles. Repeated the same process with the flashlights. Our biggest issue was the wind and a car that had a loud engine in the back. We decided to keep it because it didn't interrupt anything Jackie was saying and it made it seem a little more real. As soon as we finished the scene, Anya went inside to change into her part while Danniella, her mom and I prepared for the next scene. We wanted to follow the story board as closely as possible so we set up the camera as an over the shoulder shot on Queenie looking up to the Mystery Woman. We changed the dialogue for Queen to match the new scene to just being surprised. The Mystery Woman's lines stayed the same. As soon as Anya was dressed we began to shoot the scene. We did a moving over the shoulder shot on Anya to try and get multiple angles in case we needed them. Finally was the final scenes of the movie where Queenie is murdered and we see Jackie crying and laughing. It was filmed pretty easily and we got three different shots on it. The camera picked up both Jackie crying and laughing and the screaming inside the house which made it way easier than having to record a different audio clip. We wrapped up and reviewed the footage, by the time we were done we decided to play and wait for our rides. That's about it for the second day of filming.  Hey guys, so for this blog I'll be talking about the week before our second day of filming on the 23rd. After filming on the first day we filled in Anya on everything that happened the first day and decided that we would film again on the 23rd. Leading up to that date Daniellla had helped me get access to Adobe Premeire Pro so I can begin editing. She also uploaded all the videos we filmed on to google drive so we can have easy access to it. We took some videos and photos on Ben's phone and had those sent so we can get the different angles and bloopers. We decided the next steps were to figure out our location and plan for the second day of filming. Originally we thought it would be best to film the first two minutes of the film and get those out of the way. Short Film Research: Tangles and Knots

  A sticky, intimate bond between mother and daughter becomes threatened when the mother helps her teenage daughter throw a party to impress new, popular friends. Sound: In the dialogue, there is no difference in how the mother and daughter speak to each other, speaking more like friends than mother and daughter. However, when the party starts, the mom begins interjecting herself into the daughter's conversations, teaching her how to take a jello shot and encouraging her to come into the pool. The added sound contributes to the setting, with dance music that helps bring the idea of it being a party altogether. This is made apparent when there is no dialogue and the daughter is just dancing, where all that can be heard is the music she's dancing to. There is no dialogue that needs to be understood or listened to, more so the viewer can focus on the daughter's awkward movements and how she feels in that moment. Planning for the next shoot

 Hey guys, so not much has changed since the last blog. My friend still has COVID and I don't see a time that we'll be able to film the final scenes yet. Fortunately he has gotten better but as far as safety is concerned I don't see a possibility for filming. My new plan for now is to begin editing. Since I filmed the scenes in chronological order I can begin preparing the first cut of the film. This will allow me to see if there are any scenes which may need to be reshot or if I'm missing any scenes that need to be filmed. At first my editing plan was to use Adobe Premiere Pro as I have for my previous projects, but the computer I was using can't handle the program and started malfunctioning. Right now the deadline is nearing and I've been stopped in my tracks due to my friend getting infected. I plan on doing one of two things in order to go around these problems of mine.
